By 2020, JSC Joint-Stock Kurgan Company of Medicinal Products and Devices Sintez will invest more than 200 million rubles in the drug labeling equipment.

In 2017, JSC Sintez, a part of Marathon Pharma, participated in the federal experiment on implementing drug labeling systems. The experts of the plant analyzed specific aspects of installing the equipment for labeling drugs with control identification marks and collecting products in shipping boxes in the enterprise and developed a comprehensive implementation program, which includes both the purchase and installation of new equipment, as well as the personnel training, updating the internal documentation, re-registration of secondary packaging layouts, etc.

“The drug labeling project is a socially important initiative of the Russian Government, which will allow every buyer of drugs in the pharmacy to see all the information on the product at the time of the purchase. Despite the technical difficulties for the plant — we have 30 packaging lines, each requiring an individual approach and technical solution — we are confident in its successful implementation, primarily due to the competencies of the project team,” said Pavel Bulgakov, the IT Director of Marathon Group. “All participants of the pilot project on labeling face technical difficulties, but our experience is particularly interesting for other market participants and regulators, because we use a wide range of equipment and our business processes are unique.”
