A special “Far Eastern Section” was established in the state program “Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry.”
“In 2018, the mechanisms of priority financing will be elaborated to support the enterprises in the Russian Far East. These mechanisms will be based primarily on the use of priority financing coefficients approved at the meeting of the government commission on socio-economic development of the Russian Far East to determine the needs of state support for the enterprises in the region. This means that the enterprises will be allocated an increased compensation of the costs incurred when implementing the projects on organizing the manufacturing of medicinal products, medical devices, and conducting clinical trials of these products and devices,” said Arthur Niyazmetov, the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East.
As part of the state program “Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry” for 2013 and 2020, the plans provide for re-equipment of production capacity in the enterprises of the pharmaceutical industry of the Russian Far East. The state will support the projects aimed at technological re-equipment of production capacity, including the manufacturing of medicinal products in Far Eastern Federal District based on components of animal and vegetable origin.
A particular attention will be paid to establishing a technology innovation park on Russky Island (Vladivostok) which, among other things, will specialize in pharmaceuticals.
