An official meeting between the management of the Federal Budgetary Institution “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices” of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and representatives of the Department of Drug Provision and Medical Equipment under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on December 13, 2017.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the forms of collaboration and two-way communication, the prospects of cooperation within the single Eurasian economic space. The Kyrgyz side strongly supported the initiative of SID & GP to establish under the EEC a permanent EAEU working group on pharmaceutical inspection, as stated in the Minutes No. 48 of the meeting of the working group in the EEC held on December 12-13, 2017.
In addition, the representatives of Kyrgyzstan confirmed their interest to participate in the 3d All-Russian GMP conference with international participants “Russia and the World: Managing the Growth Potential of Pharmaceutical Market” which will be held on August 27-29, 2018 in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, and is expected to host a discussion on supranational GMP rules of EAEU.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the participation of Kyrgyzstan in GLO training program of WHO in April 2018 in Moscow, and the prospects for cooperation in joint educational programs aimed at training and professional development of inspectors. The meeting resulted in the official signing of the Memorandum on cooperation between the SID & GP and the Department of Drug Provision and Medical Equipment under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“I am confident that the mutual sharing of information, joint educational programs, that we have planned at the meeting, will allow to build the effective processes in harmonizing the approaches to inspections of pharmaceutical production sites in our countries,” said Vladislav Shestakov, the Director of SID & GP.
