Pharma Union Days were held on June 25-27 in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The conference program also included presentations of three companies – BAUSCH + Ströbel, Harro Höfliger and Uhlmann.
The event was initiated by Pharma Union – the companies official representative in Russia.
Presentations included equipment exhibitions, lectures, a series of business meetings for representatives of the pharmaceutical industry from around the world. In total, the event was attended by about 500 delegates from around the world. There were also delegates from some Russian pharmaceutical companies.
In an exclusive interview to GMP NEWS the head of BAUSCH + Ströbel company Markus Ströbel emphasized the high potential of the Russian pharmaceutical market. He then noted the desire of Russian manufacturers to accelerate import substitution and get rid of country’s dependence on drugs imports.
“As in any market, there are both positive and negative aspects of Russia’s market development. But we, of course, consider Russia as one of the most important countries for work and cooperation in the future,”
Mr. Ströbel said.
