Russia Intends to Supply Medicines in Bahrain

Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Alzayani visited the Bahraini-Russian Intergovernmental Commission to explore possibilities of trade, economic, scientific and technological opportunities. Mr Alzayani, who is visiting Russia, earlier chaired Bahrain’s delegation at a meeting of a joint Bahrain-Russia co-operation committee in Moscow along with his Russian counterpart Denis Manturov.

On this meeting Manturov stated, that Russia expects to start deliveries of medicines and medical equipment to Bahrain.

“We expect to organize the supplies to Bahrain of not only medicines, but also modern medical equipment that meets international standards. It can be diagnostic complexes, neonatal equipment, innovative medical materials,”

said Manturov at the Russian-Bahraini Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

According to Manturov, Russia and Bahrain are planning to sign a memorandum on cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.

“We are paying particular importance to the implementation of joint projects in socially significant areas, such as pharmaceuticals and medicine. In the near future we plan to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, which will allow regular inter-sectoral dialogue”,

the Russian minister explained.
