Filya Zhebrovskaya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical enterprise Farmak, and Alisher Abdualiyev, Uzbek Ambassador to Ukraine, agreed on the construction of a new pharmaceutical plant in Uzbekistan.

The Ukrainian side is ready to create a modern production of pharmaceutical products with high added- value on the territory of the pharmaceutical industrial zone in the Tashkent region by attracting direct investments worth $10 million.

According to the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, this was preceded by a series of meetings and visits to the production enterprises of Farmak and, most importantly, the adoption by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the decision to establish pharmaceutical industrial zones in six regions of Uzbekistan, where all enterprises will be granted tax exemption for various terms.

“The new enterprise with Farmak will expand the range of medicines that are produced in Uzbekistan, reduce dependence on imported production and create a basis for further expansion of the pharmaceutical cluster,” stressed Mr. Abdualiyev.
