Jennewein Biotechnologie, a German science-based company, has signed a rental contract of long duration for a space with 1000 sq m in the Mildred-Scheel-Straße in Bonn-Bad Godesberg.
There, the company is building a new R&D Center for Microbiome Research and Synthetic Designer Microorganisms. More or less €3,6 millions will be invested at the location in Bonn in a new laboratory equipment.
In the focus ot the research activities from the new R&D Center are the area of metabolic engineering specialized in designer microorganisms and the exploration of the human microbiom.
„The move of one part of our research department from Rheinbreitbach to Bonn is necessary, because our company was highly growing in the last years and therefore we don’t have enough space for our research activities“ says Dr. Katja Parschat, Deputy Head of R&D from Jenewein Biotechnologie.
