For the period January-May 2018, imports of finished dosage forms (FDF) to Russia amounted to 198.7 billion rubles (in prices of release for free circulation).
Deliveries of in-bulk products in the same period reached 42.7 billion rubles. The growth in rubles comparing to the same period in 2017 amounted to only 2% for finished dosage forms, while the supply of bulk products grew much more dynamically, with an increase of 20.3%. The total volume of medicines imported into Russia in 5 months increased in ruble terms by 4.8%.
In May 2018, finished dosage forms were imported for a total of 42.6 billion rubles (in prices of release for free circulation). The ruble dynamics for the same period of 2017 is positive at 6%, the result is not outstanding, for example, in February we recorded an increase of 18%. The absolute volume of supplies in-bulk for the same month amounted to 6.8 billion rubles. However, their dynamics is negative (-8%).
The natural volume of deliveries of finished dosage forms for the first 5 months of this year is 726.4 million packs, which is 8% less than in the same period in 2017. Supplies in-bulk for the period amounted to 1.8 billion minimal dosage units (MDU), in a year supplies decreased by 1.5%. The total volume of FDF and in-bulk supplies in January-May 2018 amounted to 15.5 billion MDU, long-term dynamics is also negative (-4.6%).
Among the suppliers of FDF it is worth to mention the Swiss “Roche”, according to the results of the first 5 months of 2018, the supply of the company’s products in cash has more than doubled. In terms of in-bulk, Selgen is worth mentioning, so as in a year the company increased the import of in-bulk products by 15.5 times.
