AstraZeneca and Skoltech signed a memorandum on HR development cooperation

AstraZeneca, an international biopharmaceutical company, and Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) announced the signing of a memorandum of intent for improving the professional competencies in the pharmaceutical industry.

The partners will cooperate to train highly qualified personnel for pharmaceutical industry based on the rich industrial and research expertise of AstraZeneca and numerous modern teaching techniques developed by Skoltech.

The company and the institute plan to develop and implement joint research projects, educational programs and individual modules on the basis of AstraZeneca or Skoltech, including distance e-learning with the participation of leading experts, higher education institutions, and research centers.

The joint project involves the development of academic mobility for science and educational staff and students, academic guidance and review of final qualifying papers, joint conferences, seminars, round tables, and other events on this subject. Other areas of cooperation between the company and the institute will include the preparation of internship programs and subsequent job-placement of students, as well as the development of additional education modules for employees of AstraZeneca on the basis of Skoltech.
