Kyrgyzstan approved its new List of Vital and Essential Drugs

The government of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved national lists of vital and essential drugs and medical devices. A corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.

As an integral part of public health protection, the access to medicines is one of the most important objectives for the state, reported the press service of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The List of Vital and Essential Drugs of the Kyrgyz Republic includes medicinal products for human use to satisfy priority health care needs, such as vital and essential medications, the absence of which threatens the health and life of patients.

The document is aimed at providing effective, high-quality and safe medicinal products, and medical devices to the public. This includes primarily the lists of vital and essential drugs, medical devices and consumables used as the basis for providing guaranteed medical care, carrying out public procurement, and implementing programs of full/partial reimbursement of medicines.
