Medical Glass Standard, a company, will invest 6 billion rubles in the construction of a plant to manufacture borosilicate glass in the Pushchino Industrial Park located in the Moscow region.
A corresponding agreement was signed by Sergey Sklyarov, General Director of the company, and Andrey Vorobyov, the Governor of Moscow region, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“The second stage of the plant will release its first finished products in 2022. This will include the tubes made of hydrolytic class 1 borosilicate glass, with the subsequent manufacturing of primary pharmaceutical packaging (ampoules, vials, cartridges). The expected investments in the first stage of the plant will be up to 2 billion rubles; and for the second stage, up to 4.1 billion rubles,” said Mr. Sklyarov.
In addition, the construction of a modern plant for full-cycle manufacturing of devices made of hydrolytic class 1, 2, and 3 borosilicate glass will begin in the Moscow region in Q4, 2018.
The construction and launch of the plant will be performed in two stages. The first stage of facility with production capacity of 70 tons of hydrolytic class 2, 3 borosilicate glass a day is scheduled for launch in December 2020. At that stage, the plant will manufacture orange and colorless glass.
