Before the end of this year, Pharmasyntez JSC intends to start construction of a new pharmaceutical plant in Usolye-Sibirskoye Priority Development Area of Irkutsk region, announced the press service of the regional government, citing the local Minister of Economic Development Evgeny Orachevsky.
“Currently, Pharmasyntez is elaborating design documentation for construction of the plant and infrastructure facilities, which the company plans to start in 2018,” stated the report.
Earlier, Pharmasyntez announced its plans to build a large pharmaceutical plant in Usolye-Sibirskoye Priority Development Area. It was reported that the approximate cost of the plant would be 10 billion rubles, estimated number of new jobs would reach about 1 thousand, and the commissioning would take place before 2022. The city administration leased a land area of about 130 hectares to Pharmasyntez JSC.
Later, the governor of Irkutsk region said that estimated cost of the new pharmaceutical plant increased up to 12 billion rubles, and it would specialize in manufacturing drugs for the treatment of cancer and heart diseases.
