India increased its pharmaceutical exports to Russia by 19% for over one year

According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, in 2017, the exports of pharmaceutical products from India to Russia reached 560 million dollars, while the total weight of exports amounted to 14 thousand tons.

Compared to 2016, the value of Indian pharmaceutical exports to Russia increased by 19%.

Indian pharmaceuticals, that are the most popular among Russians, include therapeutic and preventive drugs (68%); medicines containing alkaloids (11%); antibiotics (8%); medicines containing corticosteroid hormones (3%); immunological drugs (2%); vitamins (2%); drugs containing hormones and steroids (2%).
