A new facility for blood plasma medicines will be established in St. Petersburg

On March 23, Noroorlovskaya Special Economic Zone in St. Petersburg will host an official ceremony marking the launch of construction of IMMUNO-GEM, a production facility for human blood plasma-derived medicines.

According to the project, the annual revenue of the enterprise will be 2.5 billion rubles, and its expected output will reach 500,000 packages a year (blood substitutes, blood clotting factors, intravenous immunoglobulins, substance based on human blood proteins, and innovative medicinal products).

The enterprise will carry out an important work aiming at substitution of the imports of blood-derived medicines in the Russian market and providing highly effective and safe medicines to patients. The facility will create more than 200 new highly skilled jobs.
