A meeting between the management of Kaliningrad Region Development Corporation and representatives of Doplex Medical and New Technologies Investment Group, a consortium of Polish pharmaceutical companies, was held in Kaliningrad. The Corporation was represented by its Deputy General Director Oleg Skvortsov.

“Today, the Development Corporation acts as a “one-stop shop” which helps to resolve the issues related to registration, selection of land plot, connection to utilities, energy supplies, agreement of project documentation, logistics and government relations,” said Oleg Skvortsov. “Khrabrovo substation is completed, and the first construction works on the site of our Industrial Park will begin in the spring. Currently, there are agreements with six residents. Five of them are foreign companies, and one is a Russian company. In general, Kaliningrad region offers today the unique conditions for starting and doing business. This is understood by investors, as they are showing great interest in the opportunities to localize their production facilities in the region.”

The executives of Polish pharmaceutical companies said that they had been long looking closely at the Kaliningrad region. They are pleased with its proximity to the EU borders, convenient logistics, attractive new tax benefits, and the experience of existing pharmaceutical plants.

“Kaliningrad region created unique conditions for doing business. We want to work here. Currently, we are selecting a site for the location of our production facility,” said Peter Cierzski, the Head of the Eastern and Central Europe Department at New Technologies Investment Group.
