The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announced that Vadim Vlasov, the President of Novartis Group Russia, Regional Director of Novartis for Eastern and Central Europe and the CIS, was elected the Chairman of AIPM Board of Directors.
In strict accordance with the Charter of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the Chairman of AIPM Board of Directors is elected by the Board of Directors for two years with the possibility of one re-election.
During four years since January 23, 2014, the duties of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association were performed by Naira Adamyan, the General Manager of Prescription Business of Sanofi in Eurasia, who will continue to work as a member of the Board of Directors.
“For almost a quarter of century, AIPM acts as the voice of the international pharmaceutical business and constructive partner in the dialog on the most relevant issues of the health care system in Russia. We will continue to work systematically and consistently on achieving the common goals to find and implement the ways of its development and effectiveness improvement, in particular, by the use of recognized international practices. I hope that our proposals will continue to receive support from the government. This will allow to bring the pharmaceutical industry in Russia to a new level and enhance the competitiveness of the industry in general, the benefits of which will be, first of all, felt by Russian patients,” said Vadim Vlasov.
