Sanofi and E.N. Meshalkin National Medical Research Center, a federal state budgetary institution of the Russian Ministry of Health, signed a memorandum aimed at strategic partnership in the area of prevention and treatment of non-infectious diseases.

The memorandum provides for collaboration by establishing a bilateral working group to develop comprehensive research and education projects and programs. In particular, the parties agreed to develop an online information portal for cardiologists in order to ensure the further training of doctors providing high-tech medical assistance. The portal will host remote round tables of experts, lectures by leading specialists on relevant issues, and reviews of clinical cases.

Another important aspect will be the development of scientific collaboration in the clinical trials of innovative medicinal products on the premises of E.N. Meshalkin National Medical Research Center.

Yuri Mochalin, the Director of Corporate Relations at Sanofi Russia JSC, said, “For more than 50 years, Sanofi develops and implements innovative solutions aimed at improving the standards for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. We have accumulated a wealth of international experience in fighting against non-infectious diseases and addressing socially important issues. We are confident that by joining our efforts with Meshalkin Center, we will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of medicine, science and health care for the benefit of Russian patients.”
