Avexima plans to build a pharmaceutical plant in the Moscow region

Avexima, a manufacturer of analgin, has exhausted all the possibilities to expand existing facilities in the Urals and Siberia,  and now intends to build a plant for the production of medicinal products in the Moscow region. This will be the first facility established by the company from scratch on its own.

Avexima plans to build a pharmaceutical plant in the Moscow region, said a source in the regional administration to Kommersant newspaper. He added that the enterprise will be located in one of the industrial sites under the authority of the Moscow Region Development Corporation. The parties are currently selecting a specific land plot. According to the source of Kommersant, the investments in the construction of the plant could reach about 4 billion rubles. The enterprise is expected to produce drugs that are new for the company but are within the existing areas of business. Avexima confirmed its intent to build the plant.

Avexima was established in 2011. The company operates by using the capacities of the oldest pharmaceutical plants in Kemerovo region, such as Irbit Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant in the Sverdlovsk region and Avexima Siberia (formerly known as Anzhero-Sudzhensk Chemical and Pharmaceutical Plant) which became a part of the holding company in 2008-2012.

According to RNC Pharma, an analytical company, in 2016, Avexima manufactured about 22 million packages and sold the medicinal products worth about 780 million rubles, or almost one and a half times more than in 2015.
