The official opening ceremony of ISPE Eurasian branch was held on October 17 during the Educational Conference organized by the State Institute for Drugs and Good Practices (SID & GP).
ISPE is a non-profit organization that provides many educational programs and publishes scientific materials on designing, building, and operating pharmaceutical production facilities. The opening of ISPE branch in EAEU will help the specialists to be at the same educational and professional level as their foreign colleagues.
Alexander Sharonov, President of the International Association of Pharmaceutical Engineering of EAEU, said, “Since 2005, the representatives of Russian pharmaceutical engineering industry worked hard to ensure the opening, in the Eurasian Economic Union, of ISPE branch that fully shares the objectives and goals of the global community of professionals.”
“The purpose of establishing ISPE Eurasian branch is to harmonize the requirements of good practices and industry standards in the area of pharmaceutical engineering. This will include opening a platform for sharing the views and ideas in the professional community, holding specialized events and creating educational courses. One of the objectives will also be the implementation of professional standards, and, first of all, the ISPE guides,” added Mr. Sharonov.
The most active role in the opening of ISPE Eurasian branch was played by the representatives of SID & GP and FAVEA Group, an international engineering company. Currently, the Eurasian branch is working on the road map of its activities, which will outline specific steps aimed at uniting the professional community in EAEU member states.
