A Kazakhstan-Poland Economic Forum attended by the representatives from supreme bodies of both countries was held in Astana. Jerzy Starak, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Polpharma Group, addressed the forum and signed a memorandum on expanding cooperation on the basis of Chimpharm JSC under SANTO Member trademark of Polpharma Group.
During the forum, Mr. Jerzy Starak, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Polpharma Group, spoke about the investment climate in Kazakhstan and the prospects for its development from the investor’s point of view.
In his speech, Jerzy Starak said, “By the way, in recent time, the largest Polish investment in Kazakhstan was the acquisition by Polpharma Group of Chimpharm JSC to operate under SANTO Member trademark of Polpharma Group; and the amount of investment will be more than $100 million. This is the largest investment program in the pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan which, in addition to capital costs, also represents an investment in people, their knowledge and skills.”
In addition, Polpharma Group signed a Memorandum on expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation with Kazakh Invest National Company JSC. The Memorandum is aimed at expanding the investments of Polpharma Group into new research and analytical laboratories designed to develop and transfer new technology for manufacturing the advanced pharmaceutical products in Kazakhstan on the basis of Chimpharm JSC under SANTO Member trademark of Polpharma Group.
