Mir-Pharm Kaluga invests 975 million rubles in pharmaceutical manufacturing

Mir-Pharm Kaluga, a Russian company, became the resident of Kaluga Special Industrial and Manufacturing Economic Zone. The company is investing 975 million rubles in its new project.

The project includes the construction of a plant to manufacture high-tech pharmaceutical substances, with a capacity of up to 41 tons a year and 130 new jobs. The company selected a SEZ site located in Borovsky district.

The founder of Mir-Pharm Kaluga LLC is Obninsk Chemical and Pharmaceutical Company CJSC.

During the presentation, the company announced that it was implementing full-cycle projects.

“This allows us to launch high quality import-substituting drugs onto the market. In 2016, the company launched 6 generics. In 2017, it registered the generics of two drugs and two substances. The company has a strong technological potential. The project is environmentally safe,” said Igor Efimov, the General Director of Mir-Pharm Kaluga LLC and Executive Director of Obninsk Chemical and Pharmaceutical Company CJSC.

Obninsk Chemical and Pharmaceutical Company CJSC specializes in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical substances and finished dosage forms used primarily in such areas of medicine as gynecology, neurology, cardiology, transplantology, surgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation.
