Russian Ministry was instructed to reduce the period for examination of painkillers

According to the list of instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin following his meeting with the representatives of socially oriented charitable organizations and volunteer movement, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation must, by the end of October, reduce the period for expert examination of painkillers.

“The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation must take measures to reduce the period for expert examination of medicinal products used for pain relief, as well as to provide young children with non-invasive medicines for pain relief,” stated the document posted on the Kremlin website.

The Ministry has to report on the execution of instructions by October 30, 2017.

The Ministry of Health has also been instructed to provide training for health workers and nurses to develop the skills in providing palliative care and pain control, long-term care for elderly people and people with disabilities.
