The government of Belarus has handed over management of four pharmaceutical companies to the Belpharmprom, a republican unitary enterprise. The corresponding decision was confirmed by the Decree of the Council of Ministers No. 634.
The shares of four state-owned pharmaceutical companies, including Borisovskiy Zavod Medicinskikh Preparatov, Nesvizhskiy Zavod Medicinskikh Preparatov, Ekzon, and Ferein, will be handed over to Belpharmprom for economic management.
The Decree of the Belarusian President on the establishment of pharmaceutical holding company was signed at the end of July.
According to earlier statements by Viktor Shein, the Head of the Economics and Marketing Department at the Ministry of Health, the establishment of the holding company will help Belarusian enterprises with any form of ownership to find ways for interaction in area of internal competition, and will also promote the Belarusian pharmaceutical products abroad.
