The works are in full swing for a large-scale upgrading of the new building that will host the testing laboratory of OLPHARM, a testing center that provides the full range of services in the area of development, testing and preclinical studies of both generic and brand name drugs, as well as the quality control of substances and finished dosage forms. A new modern building will be located in IQ-Park, a business center, and will occupy the surface area of about 3000 sq. m.
“The larger area for laboratory research and, most importantly, for the vivarium, will allow to significantly expand the range of our studies on safety and efficacy of medicinal products in vivo (mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, SPF animals) and in vitro,” said Zhanna Balabanova, the Deputy General Director of OLPHARM, an independent testing center.
A new stage in the development of the laboratory means not just the expansion of the areas designed and fully re-equipped in accordance with international GLP standard. The laboratory, which is accredited for quality control of active substances and finished medicinal products and licensed to work with microorganisms of pathogenicity groups 3-4, plans to broaden the scope of its accreditation.
