Medisorb is building a new workshop to manufacture the European quality pharmaceuticals.  The workshop will produce Sevoflurane Medisorb, a new inhalation anesthetic developed in the Perm pharmaceutical industrial cluster.

Total investments in the new workshop amounted to about 11.5 million euros. This includes 7 million euros spent on equipment, and the remaining amount was invested in the complex of premises. The level of technologies used in manufacturing and automation for preparing the mixtures and tableting is the only one in Russia.

The new workshop has three production lines – the first and second line are used for manufacturing solid dosage forms, while the third one is for liquid dosage forms and has the Italian equipment. This line will manufacture Sevoflurane Medisorb. The medicine is produced only by 3-4 companies in the world. The whole drug development process, including the substance, is completely being performed in Perm.

“The implementation of this project will allow the Perm Krai to establish the manufacturing of unique import-substituting medicines with no analogs in Russia. The first outcome of this work will be Sevoflurane MS, which will become available on the pharmaceutical market in 2019. In addition, it will create up to 40 highly productive jobs,” said Alexei Chibisov, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Perm Krai.
