A promising investment agreement was signed between the Brest Regional Executive Committee and CJSC Belalek Group. The project provides for the construction of a drug manufacturing workshop. A three-storey building with a surface area of more than 3 thousand square meters will be located on the premises of OJSC Ekzon. The design and estimate documentation is currently being elaborated for the project. The construction of facility is expected to start at the end of 2017. The commissioning is scheduled for 2020.
“This project is important both for Ekzon and for the district in general. Most importantly, the manufactured products will substitute the imports and will also be exported,” said Sergey Karpenko, the Deputy Chairman of Drogichinsky District Executive Committee.
According to the plans, the new workshop will manufacture solid medicinal products, such as tablets, capsules, pastilles, suspensions, emulsions, and aerosols. Initially, the products will be sold on the domestic market, while the exports are expected to start from 2023.
The investment project provides for the creation of 40 new jobs.
