The Russian pharmaceutical industry has been developing at a good pace recently, which contributes to the growth in the number of new high-tech jobs and increases the pharmaceutical independence of Russia, said Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“We need to invest in up-to-date production. You mentioned the pharmaceutical industry. Indeed, in recent years, it was growing in our country at a very good pace – about 25-27% annually,” he said at a meeting with the acting Governor of the Ryazan region Nikolai Lyubimov.
“These are really high-tech jobs and, to a large extent, the so-called “pharmaceutical independence” of our country and, of course, a reduction in the prices of drugs for a wide range of social groups,” added the Prime Minister.
