JSC Pharmasyntez plans to open two new pharmaceutical enterprises in the Irkutsk region this September, said Sergei Levchenko, the Governor of the Irkutsk region, in an interview with RIA Novosti at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
A new pharmacological enterprise will be opened in Bratsk and a shop for low-tonnage pharmaceutical manufacturing will be launched in Irkutsk.
“This year will see the launch of new pharmacological enterprises employing a total of more than 600 people. The investments in the construction have already reached more than 4.5 billion rubles. The company that makes these investments ranks first among the Russian pharmaceutical enterprises in terms of growth rate and is a leading developer and manufacturer of medicinal products included in the list of vital and essential drugs,” said the governor.
JSC Pharmasyntez was established in 1997 and, today, it is the largest manufacturer of anti-tuberculosis drugs in Russia.
