On June 15, the Regional Engineering Center in the area of microreactor synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances was opened in the St. Petersburg Technopark (Medikov Ave., 3A). The official ceremony was attended by the Governor Georgy Poltavchenko.

The Center hosts the only microreactor synthesis unit in Russia. It will allow Russian pharmaceutical companies to use advanced technology for developing and manufacturing dosage forms. The new site will also provide comprehensive support to the companies ranging from consulting services to designing and co-financing. The project was financed by the federal and city budgets, as well as by private businesses.

“This center will allow our pharmaceutical companies to significantly improve the quality of their products, provide them with innovative technology and opportunity to create new highly skilled jobs,” said Georgy Poltavchenko.
