On June 2, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the city of St. Petersburg and Active Component CJSC signed an agreement of intent. The document was signed by Georgy Poltavchenko, the Governor of St. Petersburg, and Alexander Semenov, the General Director of Active Component CJSC.

No less than 2 billion rubles will be allocated to the project.
“This project is of special interest, taking into account the goal of import substitution. The construction of a new plant in Pushkin, which will be one of the largest in Europe, will allow to increase the amount of high-quality products and provide new jobs to people of St. Petersburg. I would particularly like to note that the plant will have an industrial scientific site for one of the departments of the Chemical Pharmaceutical Academy. The students will have the opportunity to practice their skills in the most advanced labs,” said Georgy Poltavchenko.
According to Alexander Semenov, the President of Active Component, the company plans to increase the percentage of products intended for export to 8% by the end of 2017 and bring it to 30% of turnover
