In autumn of 2017, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), an organization dedicated to the development of qualified specialists in the field of technology and production in pharmacy, will open a regional branch in the Russian Federation.
The decision to open the office was reached during a meeting in Barcelona in April 2017, with the participation of ISPE management, the ISPE Eurasian branch organizing committee, a delegation from the Federal budgetary agency of the State Institution of Medicines and Good Practices and representatives of the engineering company FAVEA Group. This initiative was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
Since 2005, Russian pharmaceutical engineering has been working actively toward the emergence of a regional division of ISPE in the territory of countries participating in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The purpose of the department is to harmonize the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the field of pharmaceutical engineering. With its opening, there will be a strong professional platform for the exchange of opinions, experiences and ideas among representatives of the world pharmaceutical community. Also, the regional unit will allow for translation of the latest pharmaceutical regulatory documents and special literature, including necessary technical guidelines, into Russian.
Membership in the ISPE is open to the public. For further information, please visit the organization’s website.
