TVEL Corporation, a member of Rosatom Group, plans together with the Agency for Technological Development to launch the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals for chemotherapy in Moscow. This was announced by Vadim Kulikov, First Deputy General Director of the Agency, at the off-site session of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) held in Ufa.

“TVEL Corporation, a member of Rosatom Group, plans together with the Agency for Technological Development to manufacture the pharmaceuticals in Moscow. We allocate for use a land plot of 13 thousand square meters, a part of investments and will also assist with the sales. But the major role will be played by a yet-unselected private company, which will be chosen in June-July. We insist on the export component so that no less than 30% of the produced medicinal products go to exports,” noted Mr. Kulikov.

He added that the establishment of a new production facility would promote the import substitution of medicines, in particular, those used for chemotherapy.

“In Russia, there is no manufacturing of these products, but we have a big domestic market and great export potential,” said Mr. Kulikov.
