The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia intends to continue its work on improving the legislation in area of public procurement and actively use new tools that will support the domestic manufacturers and deep localization. Other priority areas include ensuring the maximum utilization of capacities, created in Russia over the past five years, and high quality of medicinal products and devices.
Speaking at the 9th All-Russian Congress of the Workers of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry, Sergey Tsyb, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, said that this is the result of measures taken at the state level to support the Russian manufacturers and the joint work of many government agencies. In two years, the volume of drug manufacturing increased by 100 billion rubles, while the output of medical devices rose by 15 billion rubles, announced the Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. According to Sergey Tsyb, a great contribution to this achievement was made by the business community, which actively responded to initiatives and tools introduced by the government to support local manufacturers.
A special attention is paid to the exports of high-tech products. Russia is currently implementing new tools to provide support in this area. They include the operations of the Russian Export Center, export financing, subsidies for interest rates on export-related loans and costs associated with product certification, trials and patenting abroad.
