Sergey Levchenko, the Governor of Irkutsk region, made a working visit to Bratsk. At the meeting held in the city administration at the end of his trip, the governor paid a particular attention to the construction of pharmaceutical substances plant.
This project is being implemented by Pharmasyntez, one of the largest Russian drug manufacturers. The first phase is scheduled for launch in Bratsk on September 8, 2017. The Governor noted that the plant will have environment-friendly production facilities, and the launch of the enterprise in Bratsk will create more jobs.
“Since the issue of environment protection is a top priority for the city of Bratsk, we paid a special attention to ensure that this enterprise is completely environmentally friendly. In this regard, the laboratory tests are already under way. We expect that the first stage will be launched by September 8. Plant startup will allow to create 450 new jobs. At the same time, Pharmasyntez is virtually the only company of the Irkutsk region, which is involved in manufacturing activities outside the Angara region but pays all its taxes locally. It has the production facilities in St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Ussuriysk, but this is the tax resident of the Irkutsk region,” said Sergey Levchenko.
