The complex is located on the territory of the industrial park in Shushary. The Governor congratulated the management of the company with the opening of the complex, noting that the city needs such projects. As Georgy Poltavchenko stressed, the new complex has an impressive level of automation. Its creation is a further step in the development of the pharmaceutical cluster in St. Petersburg.
“Pharmaceutical cluster that we are actively developing in our city in recent years is not just the production and research laboratories. It is also such complex warehouses and logistics centers like the one that we are opening today. They are necessary to effectively deliver medications to those who need them, “- said the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.
The orders that were made on the Internet for the 2 thousand drugstores in five regions of the North-West of Russia will be formed on this warehouse. This will greatly reduce the costs of logistics and, consequently, will reduce the cost and delivery time of medicine for consumers. Director of the St. Petersburg branch of “Katren” Vladimir Gerus thanked the Governor for the favorable investment climate that was created in the city, which enabled to successfully implement the project in record-breaking time.
The complex was built in 2015-2016 at the Moscow highway, 177, bldn. E. It was in operation since the end of last year, but only now it was brought to the specified power. The building with a total area of 10.5 thousand sq. m. is built on a plot of 1.5 hectares in the industrial park “A Plus Park St. Petersburg – 1”. The offices and warehouses are under the same roof, including dry warehouse, the wholesale orders batching area and storage areas with different temperature regimes.
Investments in the project amounted to approximately 1.2 billion rubles (about 600 million to purchase land and for construction work, and the same amount for the SSI SCHÄEFER company equipment). The scope of services can be expanded by 2025 approximately 2 times at the expense of two-shift operation of the complex and engaging already built but not yet used building areas.
